An Era of artisan, eclectic and rustic
Today we are sitting at Simply HQ bathed in sunshine and researching and writing some stories – and buy do we feel lucky.
We are so thrilled to share the story of Era of Leek – a beautiful shop in the historic town of Leek in the Staffordshire Peak District which is stuffed full of homewares, furniture (both found and commission made), cards, gifts and pottery. Curated by the ever smiling and enthusiastic Liz, Era describes itself as Artisan, Eclectic and Rustic and it hits the nail on the head.
Liz has a knack of bringing together beautiful pieces while being super practical about what we really need in our homes. If you see a bench for your home but need a different size or if you are looking for the perfect hooks for your bathroom, Liz is more than happy to solve your domestic challenges. Her customer service is second to none – just read her Facebook reviews.
On top of all the furniture, Liz sources stunning hand made gift ware and sustainable items from bamboo eco cups in gorgeous designs to hand made ceramics and cards, paintings, willow and so much more.
Liz & Era are very much embedded in the town of Leek which has made a name for itself as a hub of indie shops, artisan markets and specialist events – so there are many reasons to make a visit to the area.
One review said: “An absolute gem. Full of unique treasures. Always reasonably priced and stock changes every week so always worth a visit. Liz is lovely and very helpful. One of my favourite shops ever!”
What Liz has done – as only an indie business owner can – is inject her own magic into a shop to create a unique experience for each and every customer who visits. Magic.
