A Sunday lesson in local
As a busy, working Mum who spends an inordinate amount of time on the sides of sporting pitches, getting to a Sunday market is a rare treat. This Sunday, during the Easter holidays, afforded me a brief but rich visit to Leek for their monthly Sunday Supplement market. As always the market was packed full of live music, happy faces & top quality market stalls offering everything from hand made glassware to the most delicious handmade sourdough. To add to this atmosphere, many of the stunning, independent shops are also open including Simply Staffordshire Members, Pronto Deli, White Hart Tearooms, Bibelot, Aphrodite & TOAST.
Among the market stalls were some of our handpicked Simply Staffordshire Members…flying the flag for the best of Staffordshire handmade as well as some amazing businesses that we would love to invite to our award winning gang! It was great to see Sarah Myatt http://healthsavy.com/product/celebrex/ Glass selling some of the very first of here garden birds range as well as my favourite love hearts.
Also displaying stunning images of Staffordshire was Brett Trafford – a fabulous photographer and the man behind our Member of the Month images.
It was also fabulous to see Hugget at Leek too…these amazing locally made, fleece jackets are stylish, local, warm & versatile…not to mention popular!
Alongside catching up with Simply Members, I also took particular liking to two fabulous stalls….

So all in all a sunny, inspirational visit to Totally Locally’s Sunday Supplement….reminding me again, just what a great Staffordshire town Leek is and the never ending supply of amazing businesses that make local just magic….
