Make 2016 Simply Festive
We have been busy little elves at Simply HQ this week adding the final touches to our Christmas Campaign for 2016. We support & celebrate stand out independent business all year round but Christmas is a special time and we love to share the real magic of the season – gathering together, buying local, nature, warming food & enjoying winter.
We will be using the hashtag #SimplyFestive when we share the best of gorgeous recipes, food, walks, gathering ideas and more.
Here are 4 ways to make Christmas Simply Festive this year….
- Gather – plan to bring people together at Christmas. We see so many articles at this time of year about how to cope with family at Christmas but how about simply planning to spend time with those that you love or those that need love. Gather neighbours together for mulled wine & chat or gather fiends that have been neglected in recent months for a catch up around the fire. You don’t need to be a hostess with the mostest. Gathering is simply being together with common ground and warmth.
- Go handmade – Christmas is exciting and it is difficult to avoid http://healthsavy.com/product/levaquin/ buying a mass produced gift or two, but how about going homemade – even if it’s just for home. A handmade wreath, homemade mincemeat, a baked cake or handmade Christmas card don’t have to be difficult and the quiet headspace you get as you make is likely more valuable than anything.
- Go to Nature – Winter is a gorgeous time to get out and get fresh air. Take some time in the outdoors to enjoy winter. Christmas can often mean that we spend hours indoors spreading colds and germs….walk, explore or simply gather winter foliage for a jug and you have instant natural beauty.
- Buy Local – a cliche you think? Not a cliche but a truly satisfying experience that means you are spreading some real festive magic. You are contributing to your local economy and not a long distant executive board and you won’t be ripped off. Find local Christmas markets to drink in the atmosphere and enjoy your shopping.
