A magical Peak District view to remember
You may have noticed that our stories often have more than their fair share of magic dust sprinkled through them. It isn’t a form of soppy, over indulgent prose to hoodwink you into thinking that we are over selling what independent business.
We are repeatedly blown away by the businesses that we meet and our members. We are often left speechless by the very special businesses that they set up, that they run with passion & dedication and that make a genuine, proper and authentic difference to people’s lives.
Today’s story is no exception. Beechenhill Farm is an organic farm that is set in one of the most beautiful location in the Peak District. They provide award winning accommodation (both Self Catering and B&B), host a exclusive number of stunning eco weddings in their converted barn as well as retreats, art exhibitions and more.
When you turn off the steep road out of Ilam in the Peak District and start down the drive you are hit between the eyes by the most stunning view down over the valley with Thorpe Cloud in the distance. You get out of your car and the peace, tranquility and atmosphere gives you another jolt. It is simply magical.
Imagine staying for a few days and taking a dip in their wood fired hot tub with that view. Of course there is an abundance of opportunity to walk stunning routes from the door, you can make the most of electric bikes to explore and you can even plug in your car.
Everything Sue and all her family do is done with a huge smile, with heart & a dedication to a way of life that slows you down, inspires and stays with you long after you leave.
We are so pleased to be hosting our Summer Meet Up lunch here in July – a way of making the very most of the sunshine, delicious food & the view while networking, relaxing and talking the kind of independent business that we love. If you are an indie business owner (or perhaps thinking of becoming one) then here are some more details and how to book.
